On August 3rd we had a fantastic combined yw activity. We did a pedicures and popcorn night. The girls were told to bring nail polish and popcorn of what ever variety they wished.
Here is what we did. The leaders actually washed and in some cases messaged the girls feet. Some of the girls were not comfortable with this idea because they don't like having their feet touched but everyone did participate even somewhat nervously. Afterwords the girls were able to paint their toes. Bridget's sister in law did detail work on some of the girls. To bring a spiritual side into this great activity Bridget read the story of Christ washing the disciples feet. She then encouraged the girls to do likewise. To go and find opportunities to serve each other.
